OFCCP & Coca-Cola's Bottlers Settle Discrimination Charge

Charges brought by the OFCCP against the Coca-Cola Bottling Company Consolidated have been settled for $495,000.  OFCCP alleged that the company discriminated in the hiring of sales support positions at its plant in Charlotte, NC.  The settlement will be distributed among 95 African-American and Hispanic job seekers who were denied employment in 2002.  Coca-Cola will also offer employment to 95 applicants as sales support positions become available until at least 23 interested class members are hired.
