EEO-1 Reporting Deadline May be Delayed

Federal Government shutdown delays the opening of the EEO-1 filing website

According to James A. Patton, Jr. of Ogletree Deakins, due to the continued government shutdown, it is expected that the EEO-1 filing deadline will be delayed.  Information obtained through calls to the EEO-1 Joint Reporting Committee, Patton said that EEOC had planned to open the 2018 EEO-1 filing website during the second or third week in January with a required filing deadline of March 31, 2019.  When the government re-opens, it is difficult to determine when the EEO-1 website will open because the furloughed employees may need time to get it up and running.

This delay will provide employers more time to prepare and gather the data for their 2018 EEO-1 filing.  If you are interested in having OutSolve assist in your EEO-1 filing, please contact your consultant.
